Clam Chowder
2 cans of chopped clams
1 onion, chopped
1 c. chopped celery
2 c. cubed potatoes
3 carrots chopped
¾ c. butter
¾ c. flour
1 pint half & half
1 tsp. sugar
salt
Add enough water to cover vegetables and cook for about 20 mins. Add clams and juice to vegetables. In a separate pot melt butter then add flour , stir and add half and half, sugar and salt. Stir until thickened, add to vegetables and clams. Heat through.
*suggested sides: green salad, rolls, breadsticks or homemade bread
